How Do AI Credits Work?

We're only just introducing the AI copywriter in Letter, it's a way to generate content ideas using AI.

How does it work?

To generate human-like copywriting suggestions, we use technology from AI research and deployment company, OpenAI. Using an AI System that produces natural language, we can save time rewriting article descriptions and newsletter introductions.

How are the credits used?

Because we're still experimenting with how to use it best, we're giving Pro users 100 free credits per calendar month, and free users get 15 to try it out.

To keep it simple, each time you press the 'Rewrite' button, 1 credit is used.

Will the limits change?

After seeing how it's used, we will change these limits.

Can I buy more credits?
